🌎 Transgender people have always existed
From Two-Spirit traditions in Native America to hijra in South Asia, gender diversity is part of human history worldwide.

Every transition is unique
Some trans people change their name or pronouns, others pursue medical transition — all paths are valid.

💜 Support saves lives
Trans youth who are affirmed at home and school have mental health outcomes similar to cisgender peers.

📝 Names & pronouns matter
Using someone’s chosen name and pronouns reduces depression and suicide risk dramatically.

🏅 Trans people are everywhere
Artists, athletes, scientists, leaders — transgender people contribute to every part of society.

🌱 Resilience shines through
Despite challenges, the trans community continues to create, lead, and thrive.

Did you know that estimates consistently show approximately .95% of U.S. adults identify as transgender, while in the age group of 13-17, about 1.4% identify as transgender, though estimates vary by survey.

Sullivan and Wayne are large rural counties, but please know that you are not alone!
