The Trans Support Initiative of Sullivan and Wayne Counties comprises people from all walks of life who are committed to addressing the need for gender-affirming safe spaces and support services for our Trans+ community members, their families, and friends.

Using someone’s chosen name and pronouns reduces depression and suicide risk dramatically.

Despite challenges, the trans community continues to create, lead, and thrive.

Did you know that estimates consistently show approximately .95% of U.S. adults identify as transgender, while in the age group of 13-17, about 1.4% identify as transgender, though estimates vary by survey.

Sullivan and Wayne are large rural counties, but please know that you are not alone!
